Cochrane, CINAH, Scopus and Web of Science were searched for English articles and SID and Magiran were searched for Farsi articles and the overall results were reported. Results: 11 randomized trials with 1245 participants were evaluated in this study, the risk of overall airway complications in the deep extubation group was lower than the awake extubation group (OR=0.56: 0.96-0.33: CI95%-04 /0=P); Also, the level of heterogeneity of the articles was moderate (I2=75%). Conclusion: Deep extubation leads to less incidence of airway complications in children under general anesthesia.
